Mikako' Life

I went back to my hometown Akita last weekend to choose a furisode. I went to kimono shop with my mother and grandmother. I tried to wear many kimonos of various colors. In the end, I was able to choose furisode I like. My coming-of-age ceremony is going to be held in 2024, but I'm looking forward to seeing my old friends now! In that evening, I ate kiritanpo for dinner. Do you know kiritanpo? It is Akita's local food. People who live in Akita often eat kiritanpo in winter. I ate it in a long time. It was delicious. I want to eat it again when I go back to Akita next time. This is a picture from Internet. I love my hometown! Thank you for reading☺

 I ate a strawberry crepe cake of Starbucks on Thursday. This cake is limited-time sweets for this month. I wanted to eat something sweet that day, so I bought it.  I like sweets very much, so I'm happy to eat it. And, it was delicious and very cute! However, I have to save money now because I had a little extravagant. Thank you for reading!☺

 My aunt lives in Yokohama. She is my mother's sister. She gave my family souvenirs from Yokohama recently. The souvenirs are sweets. I ate them this week. The sweet on the left is called lemon cake. The sweet on the right is called Yokohama millefeuille. Both packages are very cute! They were delicious. I have never been to Yokohama, so I want to visit there and see my mother's sister. If you have visited Yokohama, I want you to tell me your recommended place or food. Thank you for reading!☺

November 8th was the day when we can see the total eclipse of the moon. I went out of my house and took a walk at 7 p.m. At first, it was cloudy and I could not see the moon. However, the sky was getting clearer. I could see the moon. It was very beautiful and red. I was impressed by an amazing sight. My brother sent me this picture. Did you see the moon on that day? My mother came to Niigata from Akita last Friday. We enjoyed sightseeing. At first, we went to Hakusan shrine and park. I pulled out an omikuji it had "kichi" written on it. We took a walk in the park. The leaves changed color were very beautiful. The nature relaxed us. After that, we went to cake shop. I ate a jelly roll with pears on the top. My mother ate a shortcake with many kinds of fruit on the top. It was delicious! We became happy. I want to go there again! My mother went back to Akita this Monday. I’m looking forward to seeing my family on New Year's Eve.
